Basswood is our number one seller! Even though Basswood has a light profile, its strength to weight ratio is greater than just about all other shutter materials on the market. This amazing combination of lightweight and strength means less “fatigue” of the hinges resulting in the ability to support wider panels.

Basswood also has non-porous close grain, which means it resists moisture and warping better than open wood grains.
